Sega Model 3 Step 1.5 Scud Race Plus
Well
as i got a scud race cab, the obvious step was to upgrade it to plus version 
So i did, i got roms from mame, burnt those and put those on both boards as mame layout

Thing is that, game worked fine, not video glitches, but SE sound seemed screwed, some samples were swapped, others could not be heard, others sounded like garbage and so …
So we had a SE problem
at first, i came to the conclusion that one of the eproms could be bad, so i removed all roms, and passed all over clearmame pro. Result was that my roms were good.
I moved the set to the other scud race board, and i had the same problem, so, there was something bad on the addon at all.
I asked someone that had more model3 knowleage than i do, and he told me that something was wrong about IC24
He looked on his hdd and found that
So acording this document MPR-20101 should be in ic24 position replacing old maskrom, i decided that it was worth a try, and i placed it there
Well, it worked, glitches are gone, and everything is working fine.
So once again, MAME is wrong (i dont know how many times i said that before ), and ofcourse, guess who dumped the game …

Differences betwen regular version and PLUS version is the adition of a new track (super begginer)
and the posibility to play tracks on reverse holding start button while selecting track
Also, there are hidden vehicles that can be selected the same way (holding start button at car selection screen)
Vehicles are school bus, tank, cat …
Well, i wonder if anyone would care on fix this mess …
I think it’s great you were able to use something from the efforts of MAME! The issue you pointed out has been corrected and even creditted to you.
So the question is, are you going to dump the Virtua Striker 2 Ver 99 and donate it to the emulation comunity? Maybe some one else in the future would like to do what you did, use roms that dumped for MAME to fix or upgrade their board.
I’m confused, you say MAME is wrong and imply Guru did a bad job, but now you have a successful conversion entirely due the information in MAME and Guru’s dump?
The only extra step you made was to check the diagrams from SEGA, which anyone doing a conversion would have done in the first place!

BrianT half of me wants to open pandoras box and make free everything i been collecting and is atleast 5 years old, problem is that one thing i have learnt is that in life, everything gets repeated, so this would give me the same problems that my contributions gave me in the pass :
People insulting me (yes, it was the entire comunity who decided that me dumping stuff and giving it to mame was a problem)
People asking for more and more everyday
People hating me for make his stuff worth nothing
so unfortunally, it dosent matters what is it, i am not going to give anything else for free anymore, just for the reasons that you can read above and cause as oposite to other people, i buy the stuff with my own resources while others are asking for more and more money every day (its hard to really notice when it was the last time that those guys asking for money really needed it, cause to my eyes, all those donations were wasted on smoke)
Also, i could have taken those roms from other places than mame, i dont think i have to say thanks everytime i get a rom from mame at all, mame its not the only place to get roms from

yes, it was that easy that no one noticed that roms were bad before me, thats curious, i wonder how many people upgraded theyr cabs from mame before me …
could it be that some sounds do play and others dont ?
i would say that most of the guys who updated it didnt even noticed the problem or thought it was normal
Also, you cant get this diagram from sega, it came from somewhere else
